Kakesha Thompson is an African American writer and artist based in San Antonio, Texas. A business professional in the financial services industry, she finds creative freedom through poetry, storytelling, and visual art.
Her literary work explores the imagination through fantasy and contemporary fiction, often examining emotion, identity, transformation, and the human experience. Her poetry is rooted in free verse, blending the reflective and mournful qualities of elegy with the expansive storytelling and dramatic spirit of epic poetry.
